    Born in Genoa, Italy, she made her debut at age 18. Stunning Italian actress Delia Boccardo was an eye catching beauty who posed in over 70 international films. In her third film she made her first English speaking appearance as leading lady to Alan Arkin in the comedy «Inspector Clouseau» (1968). Additional European filmed appearances by Boccardo include co star to some of Europe’s most handsome actors of the 1970s: Franco Nero in «Detective Belli» (1969), Bekim Fehmiu in the US produced epic «The Adventurers» (1970), Lou Castel in «Stress» (1971). Continuing into the early 1980s, Delia proved an entrancing Athena in the Italian made «Hercules» (1983) and portrayed Mary Magdalene in the TV movie «The Day Christ Died» (1980), starring in Andrei Tarkovsky’s «Nostalghia» (1983). She continues to perform, primarily on Italian TV and theatres.
